Peer-Support Group Regular Meet-up

Peer-Led Support Group for Parents, Carers, Support People & Allies

Supporting an autistic person can be meaningful, joyful, complex and sometimes exhausting — especially when it feels like you are carrying it all alone.

Autism Connections Wingecarribee is a welcoming peer-led group for adults who are parenting, caring for, providing for, supporting or loving an autistic person.

Led by Jacquie and Liz, this is a space to connect with people who understand, share experiences, swap resources and feel a little less alone.

Guided by lived experience and local connection

Autism Connections Wingecarribee is led by Jacquie and Liz, who bring lived experience, care and a strong commitment to building local connection. They help guide the group, support conversations and create a space where adults supporting autistic loved ones can connect safely and respectfully.

Jacquie is a local Wingecarribee mother and co-lead of Autism Connections Wingecarribee. Her lived experience as a parent informs her commitment to helping families and supporters feel heard, share resources and build strong local connections.

Liz is Neuro Awesome’s Director, Community & Family Engagement and co-lead of Autism Connections Wingecarribee. She is passionate about helping neurodivergent adults and their families feel less alone, more supported and more connected.

We Get It

Supporting someone can feel meaningful, joyful, complex and sometimes exhausting.

You might be navigating school, uni, TAFE, work, friendships, services, health appointments, the NDIS, family life or everyday advocacy.

Sometimes what helps most is being in a room with people who understand.

Autism Connections Wingecarribee is a place to connect with other adults who may be walking a similar path.
