For Neurodivergent Adults Who Are Looking to Connect
Hosted by Mudita from Joyful Sounds For Healing, this group session will include crystal bowls, chimes and a variety of calming sound instruments.
You’ll be invited to get comfortable, lie down or sit in a way that works for your body, and let the sounds and vibrations move through the space around you.
This is not a performance and there is nothing you need to “do.” You can simply listen, rest, breathe, close your eyes, stay seated, or take breaks if needed.
It’s a lovely opportunity to step away from the rush of everyday life and enjoy some gentle time for yourself in a safe, welcoming environment.
Sunday 16 Aug | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Welby Community Hall

Start Gentle
Arrive, settle in and take a moment to land.
You’ll be welcomed into the space and invited to choose a comfortable spot. You can lie down, sit, stay close to the group, or position yourself in a way that feels right for you.
There is no pressure to talk, explain yourself or be social before you’re ready.
Rest and Listen
Mudita will guide the group through a gentle sound healing experience using crystal bowls, chimes and other calming instruments.
You can close your eyes, keep your eyes open, rest quietly, breathe, listen, or simply notice the sounds around you.
There is no “right” way to experience the session.
Your Comfort, Your Call
This is your body, your nervous system and your experience.
Need to adjust your position?
Need to sit instead of lie down? Completely okay.
Want to bring extra comfort items? Please do.
You are welcome to participate in the way that feels safest and most comfortable for you.

Mudita from Joyful Sounds For Healing will be hosting our Sound Healing Hangz session.
Mudita is a deeply intuitive and gifted sound healing practitioner, known for creating calming, gentle and deeply restorative sound experiences. With many years of experience working with crystal bowls, chimes, voice and other soothing sound instruments, her sessions invite people to slow down, rest and reconnect with themselves in a peaceful group setting.
She also brings a beautiful, angelic singing voice to her work, making sound feel like a natural extension of the care, presence and calm she offers.
At Neuro Awesome, Mudita will help create a welcoming, low-pressure space where participants can listen, rest, sit or lie down comfortably, and experience sound in their own way.

Neuro Awesome events are safe, low-pressure gatherings designed by and for neurodivergent people (and allies). They’re about building connection, friendship, and community in ways that feel comfortable and authentic.
Our events are open to neurodivergent adults of all ages and experiences, as well as allies who respect our values of inclusion, consent, and safety.
Not at all. 💜 Our events are self-paced. You choose what feels right for you — whether that’s joining a game, having a chat, or simply relaxing in a quiet space.
We’ve got you. Every event has quiet zones and sensory-considerate spaces where you can step away and recharge. Our facilitators are always nearby if you’d like support.
Neuro Awesome began with the idea of helping neurodivergent people find love, and that’s still part of our journey. But our events are broader than dating — they’re about connection in all forms: friendship, community, and belonging.
Consent and safety are at the heart of everything we do. You’re always in control of your experience: no one will pressure you to share, participate, or connect in ways that don’t feel right. Respectful behaviour is expected from all participants.
Just yourself! For some events you might want to bring water, a hat, or sunscreen if outdoors. We’ll include any special notes in your event confirmation.
Ticket prices vary depending on the event. We keep costs as low as possible thanks to our volunteers and sponsors, and your ticket goes directly toward making our events safe and accessible.
Yes! Many people come on their own, and our facilitators are there to help with introductions and icebreakers. You’ll never be left out.
Neuro Awesome is powered by volunteers, local businesses, and community sponsors. We’re grateful to partners like The Robertson Hotel, Growwild Wildflower Farm, The Fold Southern Highlands, and others who believe in building inclusion.
No masking required — be your authentic self
Join for music, connection, quiet company, or all three
Stimming, breaks and pacing are welcome
Side-by-side calm regulation that feels natural
A gentle, welcoming space for ND adults, allies, friends, family and support workers
