Hi, I’m Carolina Jimenez. Neuro Awesome is more than a project to me, it’s personal, it’s a calling, and it’s a community I feel deeply honoured to be part of.
Neurodiversity came into my life as a gift in the form of my daughter, Sofia, my little mini-me. She was born to a father on the spectrum long before I even knew what that really meant. That experience opened my eyes, my heart, and my world to the beauty, complexity, and resilience of neurodivergent lives.
Professionally, I’m the founder of CARA PR, where I work with purpose-driven businesses to help them find their voice, visibility, and momentum. But with Neuro Awesome, my focus shifts from brands to people—creating spaces where those who often feel unseen can feel safe, celebrated, and connected.
This movement began with the idea of helping neurodivergent people find love. Along the way, I realised the first step wasn’t always romance—it was belonging. It was creating safe, stigma-free environments where people could show up as themselves, meet others who “get it,” and build friendships, confidence, and community.

I’m Carol and I’m very excited to be a member of the team here, creating a safe and welcoming space where people feel comfortable being themselves and can find genuine connections.
I’m an educator with over thirty years’ experience of working with neurodiverse young people and adults. I’ve been fortunate to lead teams of educators at schools in London, Hong Kong, and Sydney, and now I’m working in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Each experience has shown me how much stronger communities become when we embrace diversity.
I’m passionate about inclusive education and love finding ways to support every kind of learner—whether that’s a student who needs extra help, someone who’s neurodiverse, or a gifted student ready for new challenges. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people grow in confidence and discover what they’re capable of.
For me, strong relationships are at the heart of teaching. I believe that every person deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged to shine. I also love involvement with local communities, because I know that the best outcomes come when we’re all working together.
I truly believe everyone deserves to be celebrated for who they are, and I’m excited to be part of a community where people can connect, share, and blossom together.
Hi, I’m Shamus Hart. I’m a Senior Creative and UX Designer based in Sydney, with years of experience designing for digital, mobility, and broadcast. My work is all about human-centred design—creating experiences that don’t just look good, but feel good and make life easier.
Alongside my professional career, I’m also studying psychology, driven by a passion to better understand people and the ways we connect. As someone who is both autistic and ADHD, I bring lived experience as well as technical skills, helping bridge the gap between creativity, accessibility, and wellbeing.
As a volunteer with Neuro Awesome, I’m contributing in two key ways:
Supporting our community to better understand how connection happens and what helps neurodivergent people feel safe, valued, and at ease.
Helping design and create resources that make social spaces more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
I’m deeply committed to neurodiversity advocacy, and I believe in building environments—online and offline—that empower people to show up exactly as they are. With Neuro Awesome, I’m proud to be part of a team creating spaces and resources that honour individuality, reduce stigma, and spark genuine connection.

Hi, I’m Zeph. I’m the founder of HOPLÀ Digital, providing marketing systems for services businesses. Over the years, I’ve worked in product , tech and data, and leading cross-functional teams through complex challenges. I love thinking outside the box, finding innovative solutions, and using data and analysis to drive meaningful results.
Before moving into product management, I spent more than 3 years as a special needs teacher. That time shaped me profoundly, it taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of celebrating people for their unique strengths. It’s also why Neuro Awesome means so much to me.
As a volunteer here, I get to combine my professional skills with my background in education to help build the frameworks, resources, and events that make Neuro Awesome strong and sustainable. For me, this isn’t just about structure, it’s about creating safe, inclusive spaces where neurodivergent people can connect, belong, and thrive.
I believe that with empathy, innovation, and community at the core, we can reduce isolation, foster confidence, and create something truly lasting, especially for people in regional areas where opportunities are often limited.
